The Legendary Encounter
One balmy night in 1937 on the Côte d’Azur, Albert Fouquet, son of a Parisian aristocrat and perfume connoisseur, crossed paths with a charismatic American student touring France in a convertible: John F. Kennedy. Within minutes, J.F.K. was enchanted by the fragrance Albert wore.
Persuaded by John's charm, Albert left a sample at his hotel with a note:
"In this bottle, you will find the dash of French glamour that your American personality lacks."
Back in the United States, Kennedy wrote to Albert, thanking him for the scent's triumph among his circle and requesting eight samples… and, if possible, one for Bob (Robert F. Kennedy). This whimsical order inspired the name Eight & Bob—and a discreet legacy began
